Has anyone out there purchased a Deering Goodtime fretless banjo? They are available on their website. I wonder how they are? I have an early Goodtime, and, as a travel banjo, is perfectly fine.

(I happened to be in Southern California and was able to play a floor model at their factory - bought it for a GREAT deal. I have just begun to learn some of the fretless techniques, though I have played banjo for 50 years, but mostly Seeger style folk, with a little Scruggs and in the last 5 years, I have begun, finally to learn clawhammer. Any suggestions for books or videos that teach the specific techniques unique to fretless playing? Thanks. Peter
