So having owned about eight Kalamazoo banjos I've mostly seen the following...
16 hooks/nuts
thinner 5/8 inch rim
usually no FON
no flange
4 dot inlays
usually single bound resonator
Although I've also heard of Kalamazoos with pearloid fingerboards, one with "Gull" inlay, one with a one piece flange, and even a pre-war Granada with a Kalamazoo five string neck.
What have you seen?
