I think sometimes one goes up for sale and then somebody else has one they want to sell and they figure, "I didn't think they were worth that much" and then they put their up for sale as well. Next tho get you know the market is flooded and nobody can sell one.

We know that they were only made from Jan. 1930 to Mar. 1931, which is a very short period of time and yet there seems to be plenty that have survived. Compare them to the SS Stewart banjos which were nearly identical, and you see so few of those.
