fix a broken tuner button on a Gold Tone WL 250

Trying to fix a broken tuner button on a Gold Tone WL 250

I fixed this once almost 13 years ago but I want to make sure I do it right and not just what appears to be the case.

There is a screw holding the button on, I guess all you need to do is unscrew that to a degree the old button comes out and then place the new button in there and screw it in properly. Are there any thing to worry about in doing so. Is there anything to worry about falling out when the screw is loosened.

Otherwise I would take it up to a very good lbanjo luthier around here but she just fixed the same problem on another banjo for free, It took her about 3 minutes. If I wasnt embarassed for not listening to her, I would just take it there, Gold tone in 4 hour drive from me Wayne actually autographed this banjo Thanks
	writerrad says: 5/14/2017 7:54:39 AM lol gold tone sold me the wrong sized button, but then I have a reserve for another banjo I have that has them. Luckily I had a banjo by a local maker that I realized had the same sized buttons aqnd got them from him
