Gold Tone have used the photograph of me in their 2015 catalogue.I was contacted by them a couple of months ago,by Amanda,who asked me if they could use the picture,of course I said yes ! The photograph itself was taken by my old army friend Andy Laing of Andy'bodie'Laing photography.I am sitting in what we call Grandads workshop,as some of you know,we were hit by lightening 4 years ago and the house was burned.We lost a lot of our possessions in the fire,but we all got out safely.One of my neighbours told me that he remembers me running in and out of the burning house rescuing my banjos ! Anyway back to the picture ! the trunk I am sitting on survived the fire,just and was full of family documents,wills and some items my wifes Father brought back from the Korean war etc and there are various things that survived the fire dotted around in the photograph. I am very grateful to Gold Tone, not just for including my picture in their catalogue but also for making great instruments.
