Heartland banjo pickers group - great idea

I am really pleased to see this group started. Rob Smith makes such wonderful banjos people should know about his work. I was lucky as a novice to discover his banjos by internet research out here in Australia. The banjo he made for me is wonderful and Rob treated me like an old friend when I first contacted him. Great treatment particularly as I am just a beginner from the other side of the world .My banjo was finished ahead of schedule and Rob even sent photos along the way. Anyway give him a call and I am sure you will be glad you did.

Beautiful banjo, Rob treated me like an old friend the whole way as he did with you and we still stay in touch. He makes great quality banjos that rival companies who charge a whole lot more.

I have two of Robin's banjos - a Bare Bones mahogany with a Huber tone ring and a Special quilted/curly maple with the Heartland no-hole tone ring. The only problem is trying to decide which one to play. I hope more folks join the group and share information about their Heartland/Smith banjos.
