Bill Miller (billmill22) is an excellent resource and a "go-to" guy for great hides, hoops, and pre-mounts. I'm glad to see him join in here.

Once I tried them I stopped using plastic on my banjos and bukes. Hope to hear some comments about what skins players like and how they take care of them, and any other points about them. Bill
	dpbaker says: 3/30/2011 6:58:49 AM Hi Bill! I put one of your heads on my 2003 Gibson ESS about a month ago. I bought the pre-mounted vellum calfskin. Sounds amazing! I treated mine with a silicone leather treatment. It wasn't a spray but had a daber for applying the liquid silicone. So far so good. We'll see how it does this summer when we have 90% humidity!
	country frank says: 4/5/2011 6:58:44 AM Hey Bill i am a total convert! I fitted up your head last week and just can't believe how good my old maple blossom sounds, feels and looks. Early days but so far no issues with humidity. I didn''t seal it but i think thats okay for the UK. Also worth mentioning how easy it was to fit, man i have had way more trouble fitting a 5 star than your hide head. This was a great personal discovery for me and many, many thanks to you too John for your early encouragment. Now lets see what else needs a proper hide head on it....
