hi im the proud owner of a1924 singerland maybell plectrum banjo there is a unique old time tone that most people prefer its an original head 80 or so years old how good is this, gary

	Bufo Bill says: 7/30/2012 1:53:37 PM If it plays properly don't do a thing! As you talk about the old time sound, you are getting a lot of that from the older head, and replacing it with a new skin head is pointless, and very possibly detremental to the sound you love. All the best from Bill. :D
