Slingerland Radio King hide head logo

From jbalch on 11/6/2013 1:11:38 PM

I like old hide head logos.  Just attached a couple of photos cropped from an ebay banjo auction.

I have an old Slingerland Radio King snare drum from the 1960s.  I assume this head might be from that period too.

From what I've read, Slingerland heads were made by United Tanning Company in Chicgao.  Jeff Stern (Stern Tanning Co.) bought that business and continues offering the same high quality hides and heads today.
