I purchased a new head from John Balch last fall but I only recently worked up the nerve to install it on my Bart Reiter Round Peak. (First time I'd attempted this).
John immediately answered a couple questions I had - his support lacked nothing to be desired. And the head went on as advertised.
I also changed to lite strings (from mediums) and that proved to be the hardest part.
The tone is so much more appealing compared to the renaissance head that came with the instrument.
No complaints - I love it.
