Gold Tone IT-250

From marktegan on 10/7/2011 8:51:46 AM

Just got a Gold Tone IT-250 and very happy with it. It's taken me years to get into an instrument that suits my taste.

I am a new irish tenor player, converting from mandolin. I am considering the Gold Tone IT-250 or CC-IT, a $300 difference. Any thoughts on what would serve a new player?

Probably too late, but not to say that the CC-IT is a slouch -- it is what it is, a solid entry level short scale tenor banjo made of excellent materials, design, and nice-looking -- but I've played both and own the IT-250 and the IT-250 is a worthwhile upgrade.
