Chicago tuning on a short scale tenor...nylon strings
I could probably just use baritone ukulele strings but I have a cheaper solution. I use nylon harp strings and a GHS wound 3rd classical guitar string. #9423 GHS La Classique, .040, .038, .032
the harp strings come in 25 yard spools and I have a lifetime supply
the songs I use the banjo on are songs I could easily play my uke. it's just fun to have an option.
I'm a member of a ukulele group here in Seattle and there are a number of uke/banjos and tenor banjos played at our events.
I'm sure this info is not new but since there has not been much chatter on this group, I thought i'd try and get some conversation going
