Someone posted a thread about what inspired folks to take up the banjo and I wondered what inspired folks to take up the uke.
I was at a party a few years back and a fellow by the name of David Newland had a resophonic uke and I was intrigued by it. He asked me if Id like to give it a try. I'm sure he meant for a song or two, but he ended up playing guitar for the rest of the night, 'cause I didn't want to give it up.
It wasn't long till I bought a uke of my own and about a year ago David was upgrading and sold me the Johnson resophonic that inspired me in the first place.
