Ideas on tuning a ukulele to play clawhammer?

I assume we just ignore the top string and tune the 4 strings on the ukulele to the banjo tuning we want: G, Double C, Double D or sawmill. Do I got that right? Thanks :)

	Jim Yates says: 4/16/2015 4:32:32 PM I usually leave it in standard tuning (GCEA) and play in C or F. I have dropped the 1st string to G and played in C with a G thumb string. I'd say whatever works for you.

	Mercymando says: 4/17/2015 10:43:44 AM I tune my Baritone Banjolele, dGBE (highr D), using the 2nd string from a Tenor uke set; it works well as the 2nd string is E so a full step lower is not a big thing. I tune my Concert and Soprano Banjolele's standard, gCEA, but I do use a wound 3rd string on both. I agree with Jim, find what works for you and.... HAVE FUN!
