My Little 'WALDO'

From frettedstrings on 11/24/2011 11:38:52 AM

I recently bought what I believe to be a late 19th Century Gut String Open Back Banjo.  The name 'Waldo' is stamped on the dowel stick, along with the number 1604.  It has a 10 Inch pot metal pot (might be nickel) and a wooden neck (maybe Cherry).  Its plays really nice and seems to be in very good condition.  I'd like to know more about this little banjo.  I've played acoustic guitar for over 30 years now and perform regularly, as several local coffee houses, in the Detroit Metro Area.
