i have purchased a book that i wish i got when i first got my banjo .. the book is called the BANJO ENCYCLOPEDIA written by ross nickerson it answers a lot of questions and helps you to play better offering good habits and tips.. .. im glad i finally got it.. after reading it it has explained so much when no one else could offer reasonable answers..it can be purchased at banjoteacher.com.... for the record im sticking around with the group i was complaining about they seem to have decided its in their best interest to work with beginners... I WIN... keep pickin ya all

	buckholler says: 2/15/2012 12:27:22 AM Good news about your group. Their are so many books out their and I'm a information junkie. I have Earl's book and it touches on many topics but doesn't get into great detail. Its good for the basic new beginner. It shows picking patterns, and starts you working on songs. But it sounds like you have a very fine reference book already.
