i just got bought a RK-25 and decided it was about time I gave the banjo a try. I have been wanting to learn the banjo for quite some time. Any tips on how i can get started? I'm trying to find a local mentor / teacher to help me out.

I started with a book for about a month, but it wasn't until I found a teacher that my playing really took off. practice every day, even if it's just for a few minutes or doing a couple of drills. it all adds up.
