I knew Harry when I was a kid growing up in Savannah. I was fortunate enough to be allowed to hang out with him in his work shop when he was making banjos and furniture in 1970. He gave me banjo lessons and even showed me how to make a banjo of my own (the work was really mostly done by him.) I couldn't believe how creative and meticulous he was. He gave me one of his Model H banjos which I still have.
He was a real character. One of a kind.
