Pleased to be part of this group. I live in Ball, La., just north of Alexandria. I have talked to Fritz in the hangout a few years back, Hi Fritz, and hello to you other fellas. I am glad we have our own little Southern banjo group. I have been playing for about 5 years but had to lay it down a couple of years ago due to sickness and I am having a horrible time picking it back up. I have the banjo out on the stand and my chord chart on the music stand. I have to get back to it, and I will.

I have a Morgan Monroe Rocky Top, and a Derring Goodtime II. I use my Deering for practice because it is so light and does not hurt my back and shoulders after extended practice.

I love banjo and have all my life. So I hope this group continues to grow and who know we may have a gathering occasionally. Happy pickin fellas.

I'm sorry to hear that you had to put the banjo down for a while, but I'm glad to hear you're healthy enough to pick it back up! Maybe we can encourage you some, here, and you'll get back into the swing of it. At any rate, nice to meet you, and I hope we can all stay in touch on a regular basis. Vince
