yea i saw a video or something of fritz
i didnt think they were many banjo players around here
i have been playing since september of 2009
i ordered a gold tone cc100r it came in the day after labor day
i hadnt played any instrument before
have been learning from videos and information on the web
i just bought a real banjo it may be not the best but i am not rich
it is a flinthill fhb 300a it is basically a rk scout i hear they came from the same factory
it looks just like the one fritz has for sale.

Fritz is, in my opinion, the best bluegrass banjo player I know personally. Just thought I'd throw that out there, in case any of you are trying to decide if you want to go hear him play some time! But Mark, that Flinthill is a really nice banjo. You should get many years of great picking out of that instrument. I've played a couple of Flinthills, and I like them! My Stewart MacDonald is also an archtop, and I personally think you can't beat that archtop sound. Thanks for playing. I live in Baton Rouge...we should try to get together for a jam some time!

i had noticed he was from B.R. and looked him up
they must not make a lot of money tho it seems the bass player in his band doesnt own any shoes lol
if you read this fritz you might have a better chance selling your banjo if you put some pictures...just a thought

were yall buy picks? i could really use a good thumb pick. i have a whit national thumb pick but i have worn it down sometime back
i realised i had a metal dunlop that came with the other picks in a pack
it had 5 picks 1 thumb pick and 4 others it came from guitar center
i liked the metal pick on the gold tone but this new banjo seems to vibrate(lack of better word) more causing a chirp or something simular
it is like when the string is vibrating it hit the string just before i pick it causing this noise. any way a plastic pick dont seem to do this.
is there a place nearby to get a national or something similar? also how long does a thump pick last you? and do you ever change the other picks?
i can see that my other picks are worn some but i dont think it hurts anything.
