Anyone know of anything comng to the Roscommon, Grayling, Houghton Lake area?

I am new at this and would be a basket case if I went but I bet it would be fun

Or even further North? Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Boyne City...

Hey Royalott,
I really wouldn't consider you Northern Michigan. From where I sit in Ontonagon County your a little south of Central Michigan. Ha.
I see on the Michigan Bluegrass website that there is a Sunday Jam in Kalkaska every week. Right in your back yard.
I wouldn't worry about being a basket case, just go and play softly away from the main group or don't play at all and just hang out to get a feel for it.
My guess is that they will be accepting and you'll have a great time. Here's the link. brokedownpalacefarms.com
While I'm at it, any pickers in the Western UP?
Pick on,
Paul

Scratch that. Looks like the place is no longer in business. Sorry about that.
Pick on,
Paul

Here is the link to Atlanta Bluegrass Festival: atlantami.com/blue/bluegrass.htm

I know they have a jam at the library or township hall every Friday night. Or at least they used to. I'll have to ask my folks, they live in Hillman. I live in Birch Run and don't get up there alot anymore.

Do they still have the fiddlers jamboree in East Jordan in March.

Thanks for the Reply guys. I don't know about the fiddlers jam in East Jordan but have a friend that works there and will ask.

I've not been on here for sometime, but thought I'd post too. I just moved into a new place in Frederic (north of Grayling) and am thinking of trying to put together a small clawhammer jam every once and a while at my place. I'm definitely a beginner still, so I'm eager to play with others and learn and pick up a few pointers.
