I'm sure this isn't news to most of you, but if you haven't listened to the band Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen, I highly recommend you do.

Their banjo player, Mike Munford is amazing. He's also a really nice guy.

But why am I talking about this band on "Military Pickers?"

Frank Solivan was in the U.S. Navy Band, in Country Current. He does play the banjo, but his two main weapons are a mean fiddle and mandolin. Frank's also a funny guy, willing to put out some Navy v. Coast Guard or officer v. enlisted jokes.

They're certainly one of my favorite bands, and it doesn't hurt that each of the band members are great folks to talk to.

	timberland1976 says: 9/17/2014 7:18:42 AM I had an opportunity the attend the Cabin Fever Bluegrass event in Duluth MN a couple of years ago. Frank and his group headlined it. Not only is this a talented group, but when everyone performed a solo, as part of the introductions, this group is a bunch of very talented individuals. They can play.
