I have the original #1 & 2, Misfits and Kickstart your Jamming (which I reviewed here in an earlier post), as well as probably a dozen others on banjo and other instruments. And could play at one time or another all the songs on the ones listed above. I saw the new ones and had to order. They are just as entertaining and instructive as the originals, but at times are different. If you are a big Murphy fan as I am, they are definitely worth adding to your library. I worked my way through them, some of the songs have changed a little, endings, transitions etc., but not terribly. I think she attempted to simplify things a little, and covers some stuff a little quicker, I won't go into detail here, some of the changes are subtle, I actually had to go back a couple of times and watch the original to make sure I hadn't learned something wrong back then. I think they should still make the originals available, but that's just me, probably a economic thing. I won't give up my originals, they will be harder to find soon. Again, just wanted to give my two cents, and two thumbs up. Well worth adding to your MM library. P.S. No, Murphy I still didn't write any of it down, she seems a little more adamant about it in the new series LOL
