Hard to believe I'm the last person to post here, 3 years ago! Over the last year and a half, I was in a occasional jam situation, where there was a much better banjo player, but no mandolin, so I concentrated on improving my mandolin skills (yes I utilized MM material for that). But due to the pandemic, the jams more or less stopped. So, beginning this year I have been working on improving my first love, banjo. Anyway, Casey held a Zoom beginning banjo class a week ago Sunday. Great class for beginners, I enjoyed it, even though I'm a little past that stage. She has one planned for Sunday, April 11th at 1PM ET, that will cover jam basics. Transitioning from vamping to the break and back, etiquette, etc. The info is on her website, should be informative. I hope in the future she does one on improvisation, that's a life/jam saving skill LOL And maybe one on building speed, a skill I'm working to improve at present.
