I just started Cripple Creek. It sure sounds a lot different fast! Slow is kinda discordant, but I like the licks. Murphy Method is awesome.

	somarmd says: 5/29/2012 6:23:52 PM I agree Murphy Method is awesome. I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing but I am taking a lesson in person tomorrow. I mainly want someone to look at my playing to see if I've developed bad habits. Other than that Murphy Method is for me! Good luck Patanio!

But, Patanio-San, now that you know the chords and licks to the tune, Cripple Creek, you might want to practice this standard via TMM DVD "Vamping: Beginning Banjo Backup." There you'll vamp and play the song at a moderate speed, tempo, with Murphy & Casey and you'll intenalize it all the more, in my opinion. Check out all the songs on that basic vamping dvd and you'll find that you can practice the same way for other songs you've learned. It'll be like jamming when you don't have parters 'round to jam with. I'm sure most of us MM students are doing just that. Good luck, "Patanio."
