Portland Banjo camp

From Donald Pettis on 1/14/2013 10:20:40 AM

Just got back from the Portland banjo camp. Wow, what a sweetheart Murphy Henry is.  She is very gracious, and just a hoot to hang out with for a couple days.  We learned new stuff, did some jammin as well as visiting with new friends and just had a great time.  We also heard some awesome picking from Murphy, and got to show off a little ourselves.  If you've never been to one of her camps,( and I hadn't), do yourself a favor and go to one.  I had a great time.

Don, it sounds like the camp was a lot of fun. Glad you learned a lot and had a good time!

I sure agree with all Don posted. Last year I was able to attend, and was thrilled. If Murphy does this again next year, or sooner, you can sign me up now.

I haven't been to any of Murphy's banjo camps but...based on her DVD lessons, I have to agree with all of the above. If I could, I'd choose an intermediate one in Winchester, VA. BTW, it's cold here in Japan and Mt. Fuji is covered with snow. Nice sight to see. Anybody want to swap?

Don't want to swap with you,Oregon is God's country, but I do agree the intermediate camp would be great. I might just get to one someday.

I want to go to one of their camps eventually. I want to work through more of their dvd's first. I am a bass player wanna be banjo player. I love their dvd's and they are easily learned that's for sure.
