Hey Misfits - hope you are all doing well.

I was interrupted in my quest to learn banjo due to an injury to my left hand. I was about 6 months in, and I had to completely quit playing. It took almost 4 months to get back to the point where I could play, and I was convinced I would have forgotten what little i had learned.

Once I was healed, I loaded up Beginning Banjo 1, and was pleasantly surprised to find out that most of what I had already covered came back quickly. Having the DVDs and being able to go back through the note-by-note lessons was so helpful! I was THRILLED to be able to play again, and I am back on the path to figuring it out, thanks to The Murphy Method.

I feel like I have the most patient & understanding banjo teacher on the planet, so I thought I'd share my happiness (and what better place than here, with the Misfits).

Between work, travel and a hand injury, I too went back to the Beginners banjo DVD. By the end of an evening, I found myself playing all kinds of tunes I have learned. A banjo really is like an old friend! Welcome back, Mary!
	Moonpie50 says: 4/19/2013 12:15:28 PM Hey Mary from one banjogirl to another welcome back. I know it is hard to get back into the swing of things after a injury. I had severe leg injury that kept me from standing for long periods of time to play my bass. I really have been getting back into my banjo lately too, and found Murphy to always be a tried and true friend.
