Pricing 1964 ODE

Greetings,

The pricing of these older ODEs may already have been covered and if so, where?  Thanks.  

Regarding my 1964 ODE, I may have a buyer for this - just lent it to a beginning student and someday he may want to by.  Meanwhile, this deal has prompted me to try and get a price-level for selling it.  Since  I've not played it in years (about 45) - time to pass it on to the student or anyone having the interest.  

1964 ODE with the aluminum 'pot'  with plastic head, laminated walnut neck with 'dotted fingerboard, and metal rimmed resonator.  The 'fly-swat'(?) peghead with the guitar tuners and a set of long-stemmed D-tuners.  The numbers on this are - Model 42 - Serial No. 1776.  Aside from one 'ding', sounds quite good and in good shape. 

Before buying this one, played my Gibson RB-100 (too, (still have and want to sell it to but for how much? - rough shape) but then in the latter '60s pretty-much stopped playing them.  I went full-tilt into into highland bagpipe playing (which I began in 1962) so the banjos just sat, sat, and sat.  Did pick the guitar - kept that up.

Though still loving bluegrass music, had kept playing the guitar, then - heard, saw, met,  Doc play.  Wow!  It went from finger- to flat-picking.  

Because of bagpiping, in 1968 and finally in 1973, was so very fortunate to buy the Gibson RB-3 - flathead -'factory-issued  original' but in time!  Well, even it went into the case and sat.  Over the years, however,  would get the '3' it out to show an interested person an 'original' so he/she could play such.  I still do!  It is nice to hear good pickers do it justice.  

So, I have three banjos to sell! 

Anyway, a general area in pricing on this ODE (and RB-100)  would be welcomed. Thanks again for reading and y'all keep picking!  Oh, aside form the student and how far he gets with it, if interested in the ODE - holler.  If someone were to buy this  guess I'd have to then lend the RB-3?  Nah, think we'd get the RB-100 whipped back into shape for that situation.

Boulder Colorado ODE Model grade has no numbers . 29 Hooks , Clear plastic head , Original tail peace . New hard shell case 1989 Case was bought . Is there any one interested in the ode any more what's it worth . My friend has it and is not sure what to do with it or where to go . So any comments would be appreciated . Thank you and keep picking .

The fellow who was interested in buying mine backed out and that due to some bad timing because the fifth-string peg decided to pop out! He then paniced and it was back to the store to get $200-special made in China. Lovely.... BG
