Baldwin B- a mahogany monster!

From rbfour5 on 5/8/2016 4:41:20 PM

I picked up my latest treasure this past week from Tommy George- a Baldwin B mahogany beast! It is SN/ BP-688; originally a plectrum model. Tommy built a replica mahogany B neck, with my favorite style D inlays. Before picking it up I asked Tommy to cut the heel for an 11/16" bridge, so that I can use the best bridges I have ever used, by Tim Purcell. If you have never tried one of Tim's bridges, well I will let you decide. (I will use nothing else!)

In true Tommy George fashion, the replica neck is just incredible. I have said it before, if you are looking for a replica Baldwin or Ode neck, look no further. Tommy knows these beautiful banjos inside and out. Give him a call if you are wanting/ needing a replica neck. You will not be disappointed. Pictures are on my home page, check them out.

Thank you again Tommy for making this deal possible for me!

Linked by 35planar 7 years ago: Looking for an ODE 5-string neck, pre-Baldwin, dowel stick or no dowel stick, long or standard, tuners or none as long as the truss rod, frets, and wood are decent with no twist. I know, seems futile.
