Hey Adrienne--brilliant to link to Cathy Moore. She hadn't come to mind before, but she surely uses world rhythms to great advantage--on music both within and across traditions. I'm sure you've seen the experiement with Arabic rhythm on her website: http://banjomeetsworld.wordpress.com/category/aeade/
