Columbine I

From Marcel Arendsen on 8/8/2011 2:31:05 AM

Hi there,

Does anyone know how many Columbine I banjos were produced? The first one was made in 1982 and came with serial no 2690.

Regards,

Marcel

Hi Marcel --

The Columbine is still being made. So that number would change every year...

Last I knew, OME was still keeping older records on paper (3/5 cards and a 'Logbook').

I assume Tanya is probably trying to move their production records onto a computer database. But since they only produce about 150 banjos /year -- is less work to keep them on paper.

But I don't believe they ever kept track of total production for each model. (It would be laborious to go through all the paperwork and figure it out now.

You can always email Tanya - info@omebanjos.com - and ask her. Maybe she does have a running 'tally' for each model...

You could send her "private message" through the Hangout, too.

Thanks Ed,

I already sent Tanya a short mail today. Awaiting her answer. Thanks for replying anyway.

Best Regards,

PS: ever wanted to visit the EWOB (check on the net for the abbreviation)? You're welcome at my place...

According to Tanya, less than 100 Columbines I were built.
So if you own one... give it an extra hug.....

I have Ser# 2690. I plan to pass it down to my son.
