I just got a 1973 OME Double X open back in a trade. UPS delivered it today, and I am thrilled with it. I love the crisp, bright tone.

I think this banjo and I are destined for a long, happy, relationship.

Anyone else in the group have an older OME?

	PeterJ says: 3/29/2012 4:48:31 AM I've got a Triple-X i bought new in 1977 (I believe it's a '75 -- it was in the store for quite a while, so I got a great deal on it). I love this banjo -- the looks, feel, sound -- plus, it's a great contrast to my Gibson ESS. There is almost no fret wear after all this time -- don't know what Chuck & company were doing, but they did it right. Pull-offs sound amazing on this banjo.
