Just took delivery Friday of an Ome built in 1972. It has a silver-spun tone ring. Looks like it was hardly ever played. Chimes like a bell all the way up the neck. Wow, just wow! Still waiting for Tanya to write me back on this one because it doesn't jibe with what is in the old catalogue available at the Ome site.
I would have expected a tone ringed banjo to be a LOT heavier. This thing is light as a feather.
Did I say "Wow"? I am not worthy.
