Since the 70's I've been lusting after a Juggernaut. I think the Juggernaut and the Baldwin D are two of the prettiest banjos ever conceived of. Last week I found an '85 Juggernaut in walnut, which I've never seen before. Most I've seen were in rosewood or maple. It has the thick rim and Silver Chime flathead ring. It took me a some experimenting to find the right bridge to calm down the upper midrange a little, but a Veerman "mystery wood" bridge did the trick. I've been through a ton of banjos over the last 40 years, but this one is a keeper.
