Well, we're all pretty much in the same boat - or in separate boats these days.
I had three open mic venues, two in Prince Edward County (the Drake Devonshire and the Waring House) and one on Kingston (the Elm Cafe). Now, of course, there's nothing.
However, Elm Cafe session organizer Gary Rasberry (with help from folks from the Skeleton Park Arts Festival) set up an on-line open mic this past evening, via Zoom. A small bunch of us took part (I played "Seneca Square Dance"). While far from perfect, with various technical glitches, it was, nevertheless, an opportunity for us to make music for each other, and, in a couple of cases, to try to make music together.
It's good to have people make the attempt to come together in this time of isolation.
