Fifth Go..!! - David M

Well...I'm relieved to say it seems to be getting a little more comfortable up there now. Last night was my first effort without shaking like mad from about the second note and the experience was so much more enjoyable for it..!

I only went up once and played/sang Blue Moon Of Kentucky and New River Train which the audience sang along with happily. I decided to stop at 'Five' lovers with New River Train as it goes on a bit and variation isn't my strong point :-)

An enjoyable evening again with loads of laughter and great acts (daunting when it's my turn..!) I'm still not 100% clear in my mind what I'll play though when walking up, I choose when sat down then just kick it off. Really odd feeling and not one I can explain. I make choices through the day but have yet to play them when in the spotlight. Doesn't appear to be tripping me up...yet...

I think it's going to be ok, the very ample dressing has to stay on until Wednesday when I'll have half the stitches out, so I haven't seen it but there's no heat or worsening ache, so that should be good news..! It still feels exactly the same as when I done it though except no stinging..must be the muscle torn I reckon. I'm tough though, no pain killers required.. Best wishes..
