Got up again with a mixed bag this time. There were the most people there I've seen this year and a real tester on the nerves... nearly didn't get up.

I thought I'd kick off with an auto tune and one they could divulge in - Oh Susanna which I can normally straighten out ok if it goes wonky. Fortunately it went smoothly but there were a lot of eyes looking straight at me that night..!!  8-)

I thought I'd tackle a Simon and Garfunkel tune Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream next. An antiwar tune sung by me with 25 years in the airforce defence industry behind him..!!!

Gladly, I can report it went smoothly but they never go like they do indoors eh..! It was nice to have a few questions about it later on in the interval and genuine interest in my style of playing.

Not so lucky in the second half though, I goofed through a tune I thought I'd air after flogging it to death indoors.. another Simon and Garfunkel tune April Come She Will but it has tricky timing that I thought I had sorted until nerves took over and it crashed..!! No fret though, there had been a few casualties and you just have a chuckle and get on with it, i said 'that one doesn't want to know tonight' then went straight into a bouncy melody called Silver Bell that went through ok.

Shame about the crash, I will tackle it again one night though with a few less eyes.

I tried a sepele ply plate screwed to the back of my open back Gold Tone, raised with felt pads as a makeshift resonator to project my bare finger picking a bit but consensus of opinion was it sounded just the same as before..!! Oh Hummm... it seemed to work ok indoors beforehand..
