After a summer of acoustic-only music, the Sunbury Jam has gone back to the p.a. system and some electric backup instruments - and a larger audience.
For July and August, we had a semicircle or folks with acoustic instruments facing the small audience. And we had a fair number of musicians - up to twenty in an evening. A number of people commented that they like the quieter format.
Now we're back to loud, and I decided to join the electric crowd for one evening - my two songs were "Sloop John B" and "Margaritaville", played on the electric 12-string (photos on my home page). They went over well enough - and then it was back to backing up on the banjo and acoustic guitar. It will be acoustic instruments from now on, pretty much.
