Thought people may like to know that Stan Francis a much respected luthier from Liverpool UK has died, Stan designed and built one of Petes 12 string guitars which had the odd shape sound hole (later copied by other luthiers) he was 90 but still attended our Bluegrass/Folk club on a Wednesday night upto his death, he will be very much missed, R I P Stan...

Thank you for posting this message on here, His funeral will take place at Spingwood crematorium on wednesday 10th jan at 12 00, afterwards for food and drinks at the Cross Keys pub Bixteth street next to the old stadium and exchange station, his pals and fellow musicians/jammers are all wecome, my name is Jeff, i am Stans Son in law
