Seeger: A Banjo Player at 100 - in Banjo Newsletter

From phdm on 5/22/2019 10:01:20 PM

I thought folks might like to see my article in this month’s May 2019 banjo newsletter celebrating Pete’s 100th Birthday,  reviewing his talents as a banjo player. Here is the link:

I was extremely excited when I received my latest issue of Banjo Newsletter and saw Pete on the cover. The articles were great and I love the electronic versions with all the videos. All these comments on Banjo Hangout are also very interesting. Its all about the banjo and it’s great sound(s). Pete’s book enthusiastically discussed all kinds of music that can be made with a banjo. Enjoy them all. Listening to Pete play Beethoven’s Ode to Joy on his banjo is a great experience. Keep up the good work!

Hobo's Lullaby
Linked by Marc Nerenberg 9 years ago: Hobo's Lullaby is a song by "The Texas Drifter" (Goebel Reeves) who was a one-time hobo, turned country singer who specialized in songs about hobos. I first heard this song sung by Pete Seeger.
