Hi All,

Bubbaville, the folk who put on the annual Portland Old Time Music Gathering, are throwing a party on Sunday to celebrate Bill Martin, aka King Bubba, who has been promoting old time music and square dancing in Portland for many many years through calling, teaching, playing, and his bubbaguitar web site.  Sure to be a great party!  Details below.  Hope you can come!

Celebration in honor of King Bubba (Bill Martin)!

Sunday, June 10th
The Church of the Acoustic Redemption, 8325 N. Central St - St. Johns
2PM - 8PM
*Jamming & Party starts at 2PM
*King Bubba Cabaret starts at 4PM

FOOD & LIBATIONS: POTLUCK bbq-style dinner! We'll have a propane grill going
and will provide brisket, beer and some snacks. Please bring sides, desserts,
grill-ables and beverages to share!

CABARET & ROAST: We'll kick off a Cabaret-style open mic at 4PM so that you
can perform for your king's pleasure, and, if you are so inclined - give him a
proper roasting! Do you have a good story about our King Bubba that you'd like
to share? Do you want to play some music to entertain him? Sign up to roast
Bubba or perform in the King Bubba Cabaret! email: suzsav@... to reserve
your spot.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! Please contact us if you'd
like to help with any of the following volunteer duties:
-Saturday evening, June 9th: Set-Up Crew to sweep, clean the
bathrooms and decorate!
- Sunday around 1pm: Set-up crew to set-up tables and chairs outside.
- Sunday 2pm to 8pm (anytime you can help): Pick-up crew during the event to
pick up plates from the ground and
move to bins.
- Clean-up crew afterwards ~ around 8pm.
