Tony Furtado will be holding a banjo workshop in Northeast Portland from 12:30 - 3 p.m. onSaturday, Jan. 3. $50
Tony, a terrific and versatile banjo player, has been teaching for more than 20 years. He is not only a great player, but he's a thoughtful and well-organized teacher. If you're interested in the workshop, email clairell@aracnet.com or call 503-830-3453. Tony is open to suggestions from prospective students about the workshop content.
The evening of Jan. 3, Tony will perform in a house concert at the same Northeast Portland location. The concert starts at 8 p.m. and costs $20. Tony will be playing banjo, guitar, slide guitar and performing both vocals and instrumentals. He is one of the most creative forces in acoustic music today, and a house concert's a terrific way to listen to his music. Expect some guest stars, too.
