Lately I've been very interested is expanding my understanding and use of chords in the double C tuning. This is a direct result of my friendship with an awesome plectrum banjo player (Jim McLellan) and fascination with his skills playing chord melody. I'm also a big fan of jazz guitar (ie: Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, Tal Farlow and others) and especially the playing of my friend Jack Pearson.
My knowledge is still very limited. (I'm a banjo picker after all ... not a real musician). But I'm learning ...and enjoying it. I linked a video of an arrangement of Soldier's Joy which incorporates a few new ideas along this line.
