I have been listening to some of the old Folk stuff and recently thanks to Santa have the Ian and Sylvia box set from the Vanguard years. I hear a lot of Ian Tyson's music as appropriate for banjo. Is anyone doing that? Are you using a long neck or standard neck? I sing baritone so been thinking about a long neck. Any thoughts?

	Bluesage says: 3/15/2013 8:22:25 PM I do "Four Strong Winds" on my long-neck without a capo. I also do "The Gift" and "Summer Wages" but capo up to sing them...
	SteveColby says: 4/12/2014 1:34:46 PM It's what prompted Pete Seeger to create the long neck banjo. It order to suit his vocal range on certain songs and remain in G tuning (albeit open E on a long neck) gave him the flexibility a standard neck banjo didn't provide. Mine has a wider neck than a standard length banjo and I love the feel. Do it....you won't be disappointed.
