Eric Prust

From GSCarson on 4/7/2014 2:03:10 PM

I met Eric Prust and his wife a few years back while visiting my father in law, who also lived in Sequim, WA.  I called Eric out of the blue, introduced myself as a fellow builder, and he invited us to visit.  We had a great visit with them, played all the banjos he had around, and then I shocked my wife by ordering a tackhead, even though I had never bought a banjo built by a "modern" builder since the 70's since I started building them.  My son and I love it.  Eric gave us some fresh crab he had caught that morning to take along for dinner that evening. Great folks, and the best value in the banjo market.  I have a few photos of Eric's workshop in a folder on my BHO photo pages.  Glenn C

I just revisited your workshop visit photos again and enjoyed them as much as when you first posted them. My Prust tack head is sitting, now as always, about eighteen inches away from the keyboard, beside the desk on a stand originally used by my daughter for her electric bass.

Sounds familiar bjcole, I keep ours propped up in the living room at hand, its always ready to pop off a quick tune. Love how light those things are! Glenn
