Hey pyramid lovers!
Just got my new TB-2 Nick Lucas conversion and I don't like to blow my own trumpet but I think it's gorgeous!!!!
Big thanks to Don Bryant, Arnold Clayton and Robin Smith (oh... and Gibson) who's hard work has brought my banjo to life... It's a matching 1928 bracket shoe rim and resonator from Don. He added a diamond flange and prewar hardware and got the rim cut for one of Arnold's pyramid rings.
I got Robin to do a reverse truss rod and no volute on the neck. It's got a vintage tint over the peghead pearl and aged binding to match the resonator. Also wanted a little bit of personalisation so asked Robin to put a UB4 inlay at the 19th fret instead of the usual double diamonds.
I've posted some pics on the right and more on my homepage.
Hope you like it...
Cheers!
