strap recommendations

what do you guys use?

	beegee says: 3/19/2013 10:35:16 AM I go to Wal-Mart and buy the longest men's belt they have of whatever design catches my eye. Remove the buckle and tongue keeper loop. I then affix it to the bracket hooks with leather straps or chicago screws

	beegee says: 3/20/2013 6:54:04 PM When one has 7-8 banjos it gets expensive buying those high-dollar boutique straps. I have the advantage of being a former harness-maker/leather tooler, so I like making my own straps.
	Crusty says: 4/22/2013 7:02:19 AM On my White Mountain open back, I had two old style hook brackets (the kind which have a round ball with a hole through them) installed onto the rim for strap attachment points. Then it was a simple matter to cut a piece of 1" latigo leather strap and punch holes in the ends to fit the attachment points. There's a picture on my home page.
