OK here is the problem, on my RK-75, 5th fret , 3rd G string, as I choke the string up from the C note up to a full D, it stops short of the full D because the string hits the plastic 5th string guide.
I can force it higher by pushing it up harder with two fingers to get a clean D note but the string then rolls off the edge binding and may cause damage.
I was thinking this may be a result of the longer string length on the RK-75 having further to travel because its ok on my deering goodtime.
The lick Im trying to play is a Geoff Hohwald 12 bar blues improvisation chuck berry type of bend you would hear on johnny b goode. I am using medium string and suppose I could try some PF 140 lights
