good evening RK pickers i purchased an RK75 Elite a while ago and love it i have fitted a fultz tailpiece not decided on the specific bridge yet have ordered a tim purcell and also a bart veerman , it is so versatile and easy to work on ,and is one of my favourites to play,my reason for coming here was to ask to join this group but start rambling about the virtues of the banjo so may i join the group kindest regards darlo

Welcome Darlo, I have a 5/8 scorpion bridge and the original tailpiece on my RK-75. It came with an 11/16 sosbee bridge which sounded great but action was a bit too high for me.

Where did you buy your bridges and tailpiece?

11/16" Scorpion here.
And the original tailpiece, wouldn't be able to come up with a reason to replace that.
IMHO a Mastertone can't be better off with a Presto style tailpiece.
Though I hold Bob Fults in high regard ( I think his constructions are really, really good) I found my RK close enough to the sound of my PW RB-1, so I decided to leave it like it is.
Even the type of strings D'Addario (J 60) bring out the best in mine.

Bruno, with the 11/16 scorpion is your action much higher or have compensated in any way ?

My RK 35 came with an11/16Desert Rose bridge installed by previous owner and sounded great.Being a bit of a tinkerer myself I contacted Tim Purcell and he advised me to try one of his maple bridges.I am really happy with the result and the Desert Rose is now on my Deering Artisan open back and what an improvement it has made.
