I wanted to setup a group for those of us in and around Richmond, VA. The purpose is to meet folks with similar interests to set-up jam sessions, trade licks, find good instructors and set-up shops. Simply put, I want to unify the central Virginia picking community. Everyone is welcome.

Any one needing instruction Becky Taylor is up in Ashaland and is one fine player and instructor. I have been taking lessons from Becky for a little over a year and give her all the credit for my progression. In addition to being a fantastic instructor another benefit in taking lessons from Becky is that she holds a slow jam session for students and former students about once a month. Helps me tremendously. Lessons are a hour long which I like very much. To me it has more advantages than a half hour lesson and gives more time to go over any issues and more time to listen. She also does luthier work which is convenient. I know Ritchie Dodson is down around Va beach and heard he does a excellent job. But if you don't want to make the trip call Becky she is also excellent. Just some info for you. Looking forward to talking with y'all. John
